What Is A Doula?
A doula is a woman who is trained in the field of pregnancy, labor processes, breastfeeding, and newborn and mother care. She helps women with emotional and physical support through the last stages of pregnancy, birth and during the crucial first weeks postpartum.
She helps as a labor doula by attending birth as a continuous presence who encourages a positive birth experience. She helps the new mother and family adjust their roles to include parenthood as a postpartum doula.

Why Should I Hire A Doula?
Having a baby is a time of great excitement and anticipation, but it is also an overwhelming and exhausting period in one's life. New parents tend to forget about their own needs.
A doula helps nurture the mama and her family as a role model, teacher, friend and giver of unconditional support. Often times, your doula is the only person on your birth team who will remain with you throughout the entire process, who knows your wishes and desires, and can guide you to a positive experience, regardless of specific outcomes.
