Rosy-red cheeks are a common sign of teething. Your baby’s cheeks go red because the tooth that is coming through the gum can cause irritation. You may notice that your baby’s cheeks also feel warm.
What do red cheeks mean?
Blushing is triggered by emotions which send blood to your face, causing your cheeks to turn red. There are several conditions that may make you look like you are blushing when you are not. Cold weather can turn your cheeks red, but so can lupus or an allergic reaction.
What helps baby rash on face?
In general, treatment consists of:
- Using a very gentle soap.
- Using a gentle detergent and no fabric softener in baby’s laundry.
- Using skin moisturizers.
- Applying a steroid cream (like hydrocortisone or even a stronger one) if the eczema won’t go away.

If you are breastfeeding your baby, his poop might be yellow, soft, runny and sometimes lumpy. If your baby is fed formula milk, his poop is camel to brown in colour and has a thicker consistency.
How long does teething pain last for?
For most babies though, symptoms of teething can be minor and infrequent. The pain of teething can last for around 8 days, but if multiple teeth come through simultaneously, the pain can continue for longer.
